For families

Your coach sends a link. You pick a time that works, pay in a few taps, and it is on the calendar. That is the whole thing.
- See real openings. No waiting on a reply to find out what is free.
- The total is shown before you pay. Check out with a card or mobile wallet.
- Plans change. Reschedule or cancel from your phone up to 24 hours before the lesson. Cancel in time and you choose a lesson credit for the full lesson value or a refund of the lesson price. The service fee is not refunded.
- If your coach cancels, you choose. A full refund, service fee included, or a credit toward the next lesson.
- One account for the whole family. Save a profile for each player 13 and up. For younger players, just enter their name when you book. Teens 13 and up can pick their own lesson times if you turn that on, and payment always stays with you.

Questions
Straight answers.
Is it really free for coaches?
Yes. There is no subscription, no setup fee and no paid tier. You set your lesson price and you are paid that full amount for every lesson you teach. When a family books a lesson or buys lesson credits, a service fee is added to their total and shown before they pay.
How do I get paid?
Families pay through ExtraReps when they book. Payments are processed by Stripe and paid out to your bank account. You connect your bank details with Stripe once, and families can pay through ExtraReps as soon as Stripe has verified them.
Is there ever a deduction from my payouts?
Not for lessons you teach. There are two cases to know about. If you cancel a lesson a family already paid for, the family is made whole and the payment processing cost for that lesson comes out of your next payout. And if a payment is refunded or disputed with the family's bank, the amount returned is taken back from your payouts.
Can I still take cash from some families?
Yes, as an option. Paying through ExtraReps is the standard way to book, and cash is off until you turn it on. In your settings, open Booking rules and switch on "Accept cash at the lesson". Families can then choose cash when they book. The lesson shows on your schedule as "Cash due" with the amount. Once they pay you in person, tap "Mark cash received" on that lesson. Your income report lists cash that is still due separately and only counts it as income after you mark it received.
What happens when a family cancels?
If they cancel at least 24 hours before the lesson, they choose a lesson credit for the full lesson value or a refund of the lesson price. The service fee is not refunded. Inside 24 hours the lesson is forfeited, unless you decide to waive it. If you are the one who cancels, the family chooses a full refund or a credit. If they do not choose within 7 days, they get the full refund.
Do my families need to download anything?
ExtraReps is being built as an app for iPhone and Android, and that is where families will get push notifications about bookings, changes and reminders. During the soft launch, your invite link opens in any phone or computer browser, where they create a free account, pick a time and pay. Confirmations and reminders arrive by email.
Can families buy lessons in advance?
Yes. Families can prepay for 1, 5 or 10 lessons with you. Credits never expire and any player in the family can use them for the same lesson type. The service fee is charged once, when the credits are bought, and not again when they are used.
Can my older players book for themselves?
Yes, with a parent's permission. Here is how it works:
- The parent turns it on. In the athlete's profile, the parent switches on "Allow this athlete to schedule their own lessons". It is off by default and the parent can turn it back off.
- The athlete gets their own login. Athletes must be 13 or older, and an athlete account can only be created from a parent's invitation. Younger players are always booked by their parent.
- The athlete picks the time. They see your openings and choose one. It is held for 10 minutes while the parent reviews it, and the lesson is booked once the parent completes checkout.
- The parent handles the money. Paying, applying lesson credits and accepting any agreements always stay with the parent.
- Cancelling is limited. An athlete can cancel their own lesson up to 24 hours ahead, and the family receives a lesson credit. Inside 24 hours only the parent can cancel, and the parent is told the athlete asked.
Will it show up on my own calendar?
Every booked lesson has an "Add to calendar" button that drops it into the calendar on your phone or computer.
Where is ExtraReps available?
ExtraReps is launching with independent baseball and softball coaches in Texas, for one on one, in person lessons. A soft launch with a small group of coaches starts in the coming weeks. The full rollout follows once the iPhone and Android apps are ready. That date is not set yet.
Who is behind ExtraReps?
ExtraReps is built in Shiner, Texas by Ascent Management, LLC. Our owner is a softball dad whose daughter has played for the last decade and now plays competitive travel ball. Over those years we have booked lessons with a lot of coaches, almost always by text, and ExtraReps is the tool we wished they had. Coaches on ExtraReps are independent.
